Choosing A Hormonal Acne Treatment That Works Best For You

By Susie J.

Hormonal acne is often referred to simply as acne. Another term for this skin condition is acne vulgaris, which sometimes means pimple breakout. It can be described as an inflamed and irritated red pustule. This skin problem is normally associated with teenage years and is more common in males than in females. There is no permanent treatment for hormonal acne; therefore it can subside over time. There is a possibility that the condition could reoccur though.

The majority of products that are used to treat this skin problem contain four main ingredients: Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, and Chlorhexidine. The majority of products available over the counter will contain Benzoyl Peroxide. This product works by killing the bacteria on the surface of your skin. In doing so, it effectively removes the top layer of skin. Many products that you may earn at home for hormonal acne include products that contain Benzoyl Peroxide along with certain other ingredients.

Salicylic Acid is another ingredient that you may earn at home for hormonal acne. This product is very commonly found in topical creams that dry up excess oils and dead skin cells in the follicles of the hair follicles. Salicylic Acid is very effective in treating acne that is caused by hormones. This is because it helps to reduce inflammation of the follicles and help keep oiliness under control. However, it is advised to use Salicylic Acid only as a topical cream and not in place of other treatments.

Glycolic Acid is an ingredient that you may earn at home for hormonal acne during pregnancy. This product works by unclogging pores and reducing irritation of inflamed skin caused by hormonal change. In addition to that, Glycolic Acid also helps to unclog blocked pores. It is a gentle antiseptic which makes it ideal for use during pregnancy. You can expect it to have minimal side effects while being used during pregnancy.

If you find that one of the hormonal acne products you are using is causing negative reactions to your body, you should stop using it immediately and consult your physician for a change. One reason why a medicine could cause negative reactions to a person’s body is because one major chemical component of that medicine could react negatively with the other chemicals in your body. For example, if a particular antibiotic is causing your stomach to ache, you should stop taking the antibiotic and find one that does not cause you any problems.

Finding the hormonal acne treatment that works best for you depends largely on your individual situation. There are some women who do not suffer from severe hormonal breakouts. For women like these, one of the options you can consider is Provestra. Provestra is a natural remedy that contains all-natural ingredients and is gentle enough for use during pregnancy. Unlike some of the other medications on the market today, Provestra does not contain any synthetic chemicals.
