Best Acne Face Wash for Your Skin

By Susie J.

Although some folks automatically think of the teen years as the time when acne breakouts occur, the reality is that they can happen to people of all ages. While oil production is often at a high during the teen years, along with hormonal fluctuations, there are other factors involved. Excessive dead skin cells and exposure to microscopic bacteria are generally involved as well, which is why you need to find the best acne face wash to treat all of these factors.

While there are several acne products on the market today, many of them have unpleasant chemicals that can dry out your skin and actually exacerbate the problems you are having. If you choose to purchase skin care products that are pre-made, you should make sure that you find ones with natural ingredients instead.

Fortunately, you can make your own face wash for a fraction of the price that is equally effective. The best acne face wash for you depends on several factors, which might be slightly different than your friends. By including the right ingredients, you will be amazed at how effectively you can get your acne under control in a short period of time.

Many folks make the mistake of scrubbing their skin intently in order to get rid of acne. Doing so often exacerbates the problems because of the damage that is done at the microscopic level. Tiny lesions that you can’t see can turn into full-blown pimples that are painful and take even longer to cure.

Instead, focus your efforts on making and using a face wash that is gentle yet effective. Grind up some oats in your home blender to create a soothing wash that can also be used as a mask. It will absorb excess oil and gently buff away the dead skin cells. As a bonus, oats are good for scar reduction!

To make your oats more effective, you can add essential oils to your cleanser. Tea tree oil is very popular and is known to eradicate microscopic organisms that are attacking your body. Another choice gentle enough for everyone is lavender. This fragrant essential oil is effective for staving off these bacteria and provides some incredible healing benefits as well.

Lemon and other citrus essential oils can also help to get rid of the germs and help balance the oil production on your skin. Be careful when using these because some can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. No matter what types of essential oils you choose to add, remember a little goes a long way. No more than five drops per wash should be sufficient.

Follow up with a diluted apple cider vinegar astringent and use a non-comedogenic moisturizer to protect your skin. A few drops of jojoba oil massaged into your skin will not clog pores and will help to seal in your natural moisture.

You don’t have to suffer from troublesome acne any longer. By creating your own face wash and using it in part of a natural beauty routine, you will experience excellent results fast!
