How to Remove Acne Scars – 3 Tips to Treat Acne Scars Quickly

By Susie J.

So, you want to know how to get rid of acne scars. Acne is the most common skin disease of our era, and it is more likely to appear on teenagers and the elderly. The physical changes that occur during puberty are usually accompanied by psychological ones as well. This makes it much easier for the scarring to take place. However, there are ways in which you can prevent this problem from occurring in the first place.

The first thing you need to do is to keep your skin hydrated. Our skin needs to stay hydrated to be at its best. Unfortunately, it is not easy to drink eight glasses of water a day, so many people who suffer from acne opt to drink natural water instead. You can simply take more than one or two glasses of water during the day, especially when you feel thirsty. Also, stay hydrated through the day by drinking at least a couple of glasses of water each day. This will help to reduce the possibility of scarring.

Scars heal by growing out of your existing skin, through the body’s own processes of dermabrasion and collagen re-growth. Acne scars often appear as areas of redness or irritation, which is caused by the damaged cellular structure of your skin. The collagen and elastin fibers in your epidermis are replaced with new cells that are not as elastic, therefore, over time, the texture of your skin starts to change. This can lead to new breakouts appearing, as the skin tries to repair itself.

One of the things that helps to heal acne scars is to maintain healthy levels of sebum in the skin. Too much sebum can clog the pores, and this leads to bacterial growth, which causes redness and irritation. By using a salicylic acid based cleanser, you will help to open up the pores and allow sebum to come out. By doing this on a regular basis, you can reduce the amount of redness and irritation that is caused by your pores.

Salicylic acid also has some amazing anti-inflammatory properties. It contains anti-inflammatory properties that make it effective in treating acne, as well as being able to help to reduce the size of those red, irritated pustules that appear. Azelaic acid is so powerful because it contains 10 times more salicylic acid than aspirin. The higher concentration of salicylic acid in an anti-inflammatory substance, the faster it heals the area that has been injured.

Another great way to treat acne scars with salicylic acid is through rolling. Rolling the skin with a rolling paper towel is known as microneedling. Microneedling reduces redness and works to reduce the overall depth of the scars. Rolling the skin will also help it to heal more quickly, reducing the amount of time it takes for it to completely heal. Although microneedling can be painful, many people find that it is very worth it. Within weeks of using this technique, many people notice significant improvements in the appearance of their scars.
